Data we collect: the purpose and legal basis

When you visit Animal-Network, we automatically collect data about you and how you use Animal-Network. When you create a user profile with Animal-Network, we kindly ask you to provide a number of basic details, such as your name and e-mail address. You can choose to log in via Facebook. If you use this type of login to log in to our service, we gain access to the information you have decided to make publicly accessible on the social network concerned in order to be able to validate your identity. We must use this information to be able to enable you to access the service and provide the services affiliated with Animal-Network. Disclosure of your personal data

When you request your animal/pet’s medical records from a veterinarian, you must confirm that Animal-Network is permitted to forward your information thereby enabling the veterinarian to confirm that you have the right to receive your animal/pet’s records.

We solely disclose your personal data to other responsible data controllers to the extent described in these terms and conditions. Moreover, personal data will not be disclosed without your explicit consent, unless we are under an obligation to do so by law or other legal obligation which is incumbent on us, or if it is required to enable a legal claim to be determined, applied or defended.

Data may be transferred to business partners who process the information on our behalf. We cooperate with partners in order to maintain and improve Animal-Network, technically operate Animal-Network and send newsletters. These undertakings are data processors who process the data for which we are the data controller. The data processors may not use the information for purposes other than to perform the agreement they have entered into with us, and these data processors are subject to a duty of confidentiality in this respect. We have entered into data processor agreements with all data processors who process personal data on our behalf.

The undertakings in question have taken the requisite technical and organisational security precautions to prevent data from being deleted accidentally or illegally, from being lost or damaged and from being disclosed to unauthorised parties, from being misused or other processing at variance with the Danish Data Protection Act or in contravention of our instructions.

Your rights

Right of access
You have the right at any time to request insight into our processing of your personal data, including insight into the data concerning you that we have registered. You have the right to be issued with a copy of the personal data that we process about you. Erasure of data

Data collected concerning your use of Animal-Network will be erased once you have not visited the website for five (5) years at the latest.

Data collected as part of your consent to receive marketing material will be erased when you withdraw your consent.

Data collected for your creation of a profile will be automatically erased when you delete your profile or if you have not logged on to your user profile for five (5) years.

Erasure of your personal data
